When I was young, I loved reading Harry Potter and I wanted to study at Hogwarts. The magic and friendship between the three main characters made me jealous. I wanted to be one of them and wear the same uniforms as them. As I got a bit older, I had access to Marvel Comics and Detective Comics. Once I saw their movies, there was no turning back. I wanted to be Storm, Black Widow and Harley Quinn, but how? Their worlds were strictly fantasy, and there was no possible way for me to join in. When I watched a television show about Cosplay, it changed my entire life. Some of you may not be aware of what Cosplay is. Cosplay which is short for “costume play” is a hobby/activity in which participants wear the clothes and accessories associated with a specific fictitious character.
These participants are called cosplayers. By similarly dressing up yourself, you are capable of becoming any movie or comic book character you choose. With all I knew about cosplay, I chose my first cosplay to be of Harley Quinn.
I was able to buy her clothes quite easily in a store, but the matter of hair was not so simple. As a normal office worker, my job didn’t allow me to dye my hair into half blue and half pink. Therefore, I had no other choice except to buy a wig. So I bought a wig online, it was very perfect.
